The data controller is the MyErasmus team. For any legal or privacy inquiries, the official channel is hello@myerasmus.com.

1. Information We Collect

To offer the services of the MyErasmus social network, we collect the following personal information:

• Registration Data: We collect your email address when you register directly or through OAuth providers.
• Public Profile and Images: We collect images you choose to upload to your profile or share on the Wall, forums, and chats (User Generated Content).
• Device Permissions (Camera and Gallery): The app will request explicit access to your camera and gallery to use features like the “Erasmus Wall”. We only access images you choose to upload.
• Usage Data: Information you share publicly or in direct messages on the platform, events you join, and destinations you save.

2. Use of Information and Images

We use your personal data, including email and provided images, exclusively to:

• Create and manage your account and public student profile.
• Allow interaction with other users through the wall, forum, events, and direct messaging.
• Display your profile photo and visual content you upload for the normal functioning of the social network.

3. Sharing with Third Parties

MyErasmus does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or images to advertising companies, marketing agencies, or other third parties under any circumstances.

4. Storage and Security (Supabase / AWS)

Your personal data and files are securely stored using Supabase, operating on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures.

5. User Rights (GDPR) and Data Deletion

In accordance with European data protection regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, limit, or oppose the processing of your personal information at any time.

• How to delete your data: You can delete your account directly from the mobile app settings or by requesting it via email to hello@myerasmus.com. Deleting your account will permanently erase all personal data.

6. Cookies and Analytics

On myerasmus.app we use a minimal set of cookies and analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it:

• Consent cookie: a first-party cookie (myerasmus_consent) that only remembers whether you've accepted or dismissed the cookie banner. It stores no personal data.
• Vercel Analytics: a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that reports aggregated page views and performance metrics. It does not track individual visitors or store personal data.
• Google Analytics: used to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, general location, device type) so we can improve the site. It only loads after you accept cookies in the banner, and never before. You can decline it at any time by not accepting the cookie banner, or by clearing your myerasmus_consent cookie and refusing it again.

We do not use cookies for advertising or to sell your data — see section 3 above.
